Sustainability at RAISE

At RAISEfashion, sustainability is not viewed as a trend or standalone category. It is one of the many ways we evaluate how brands are building for longevity, responsibility, and real market demand.

We believe the future of fashion will belong to brands that create with greater intention, produce with greater discipline, and build businesses rooted in both creativity and operational clarity.

As part of our broader evaluation process, we consider how designers approach areas such as:

Ethical and responsible production

Demand-driven business models

Thoughtful sourcing & manufacturing

Reduced overproduction and waste

Long-term business sustainability

Community and cultural impact

Today, 56% of the brands within the RAISEfashion ecosystem identify as sustainable or ethically made across categories.

By 2030, RAISEfashion’s goal is to support and guide 100% of brands within our cohort toward sustainable and/or ethically made business practices across categories.

We recognize that every brand begins from a different place, and our role is not perfection, but progress, education, access, and long-term transformation.

Rather than prescribing one definition of sustainability, RAISEfashion recognizes that independent brands are navigating complex realities around production, growth, access, and resources. We believe progress often begins with intentional decision-making, transparency, and building only what is truly wanted.

Through conversations, partnerships, and industry engagement, RAISEfashion continues to support a more thoughtful future for fashion, one where creativity, commerce, and responsibility can coexist.
